Week In Review

This Week (6-3)
YTD (28-16-3)

Overall it was a pretty good weekend. You'll take three games above .500 anytime you can get it. But it was close to a huge weekend. We'd have to say we had one really bad pick in Cincy @ home against S. Fla on Friday night. Other than that we were in every game with Ok State failing to score on their last drive to cover and Rutgers forgetting we play two halves of football in America instead of just one. It was a 14-14 game at half in the Rutgers - Pitt game after Rutgers really controlled the football for most of the first half. Then Pitt came out of the locker room ready to play and half of the Rutgers team stayed in the locker room. Unfortunately for us, the half that stayed in the locker room was the half of the team that actually plays the game like the offense, defense and special teams. The half that showed up were the towel boys, ball boys, and some of the cheerleaders. And for a while it looked like the cheerleaders were going to hold their own until Sunseri of Pitt realized the people on the other side of the ball were wearing skirts instead of helmets, and the air attack began. Rutgers still only lost by 20 failing to cover the spread by a touchdown.

Somehow B.C still gets respect from Vegas and somehow they still keep failing to cover spreads. Maryland looked pretty good on the road against a horrible excuse for an ACC football team that B.C throws on the field every weekend. Maryland took care of business for us.

OK State battled in a back and forth game and failed to score on their last possession to cover the spread. The offense moved the ball with ease just like we thought and the defense had trouble defending against Nebraska's high powered offense like we thought would happen. It came down to who would have the ball last and with how much time left. Ok State had it but just ran out of time. We'll take the loss because we were in this one the whole game and because we don't have a choice.

Auburn took care of business at home and Alabama rolled Tennessee @ their place. Two good wins where we got exactly what we expected.
