This Week : (5-4-2)
YTD : (41-24-4)
Another week over .500. Another week where we were wickedly close to a big weekend. That last sentence had 6 words that start with W, including a 5 word streak with all W's.
USC's kicker sucks. If he would have hit one of three field goals from less than 40 yards, that would have been a win. Kids getting a full scholarship to play 4 plays a weekend and lose us games. Cincy pushed on Monday night but Mike Nugent missed 2 field goals from less than 40 yards. Dude is getting paid a million dollars a year to play four plays on Monday night and lose us games. Not to mention, Carson Palmer couldn't hook up with any of his All-World receivers for a 5 yard gain from their own 10 to get a first down with 40 seconds left to play. I don't care what anyone says, Cincy was the pick that game and completely outplayed the Steelers. Pitt scored on two short fields after a fumbled kickoff and a pick. Then they scored on a well executed gimmick play when they had Randle El throw a bb down field for a touch. That is 17 of their 27 points. Cincy's D did a hell of a job. I guess we'll take the push even though by game time the spread had jumped up to 6.5 and 7 most places. We had it at 6, so PUSH. Houston had the chance at the end of the game to not only cover but to beat S.D straight up. Schaub threw a nice ball that Andre Johnson wasn't too thrilled about catching, and instead he decided to let the Chargers defender have a shot at it. Tough late pick in the endzone cost us that one. Buffalo pushed. Oakland won in OT and Green Bay had Dallas beaten so bad Wade Phillips was essentially fired by halftime. Temple dominated. I got affected by the Syracuse bug and I don't know why. Stupid pick. Can't believe LSU managed to put up 27 points against Bama and beat them. I'd prob go with Bama again if it was the same game this weekend. Another weekend without a losing record. That makes 7 straight winning weekends. I hope I didn't just jinx us. Is that how you spell jinx? If it is, I think we should work on changing the spelling of that one.
