Last Two Weeks (8-5) YTD (49-29-4)
Since we didn't do a week in a review for two weekends ago, we'll combine it with this weekend. And it's a good thing we do that because this weekend was by far the worst weekend we have had. But we're not too worried because we were coming off our best weekend ever in a week we went 6-0. So we'll start w/ 2 weekends ago. It's pretty simple. We picked 6 teams, and they all covered. Bam, 6-0. Easy enough. Now to this week where things didn't go exactly how we anticipated. Ohio State shat on Michigan because, well Michigan sucks at football. They suck at scoring against the other defense and they suck even more at stopping the other offense. That makes football difficult. Win. We took Syracuse based on the fact that Boston College is miserable on the road. But this weekend they stepped up and we were on the wrong side of this one. First loss in two weeks. N.C State at Maryland started exactly like we thought it would. N.C State jumped out to a 14 point lead. They couldn't hold onto it though. They had a chance to make it 21-7 going into the half. Instead Russell Wilson threw a pick and Maryland took the ball down the field and scored and that was the turning point. From there on out we were in trouble. 2nd loss in two weeks.
South Carolina demolished Clemson from the opening kickoff. We loved that game and the Cocks took care of business. Win. We thought this was the start to a huge night. We took Vanderbilt because they play in a tough SEC conference and have battled some good teams. We also took them because they were playing the worst team in a down trodden ACC conference. Wake Forest has been miserable this year. What we didn't know was Vanderbilt's head coach Robbie Caldwell was going to resign prior to the game. Are you kidding me Robbie Caldwell? You really dicked us this time. Vandy came out and played like their coach just resigned before kickoff.
Oklahoma State fell behind early and couldn't stop Oklahoma from scoring. We though that Oklahoma State would be able to outscore Oklahoma. They did put up a ton of points late. But it wasn't enough. Tough loss. And then there was USC, Notre Dame. Are you serious USC? Do you know how bad you have to be to lose at home against Notre Dame? Honestly? This is a Notre Dame team that lost at home to a terrible Michigan team when people though Michigan might not be brutal. This is a Notre Dame team that got smashed at home by Navy. This is a Notre Dame team that lost at home to Tulsa. That last word says Tulsa. I guess Tulsa is just legit. Because Tulsa beat ND at ND. ND beat USC at USC. Tulsa is the best team ever.
Not a ton of NCAA games this weekend but there are a few lines we have our eyes on. Certainly are some NFL games we like this weekend. And it's almost bowl season! And we love bowl season.
